These pieces of furniture are made from noble materials such as solid wood, but their uniqueness lies in the finishes made using a special technique that was also used in ancient times.

Over the years, Dal Pos has pursued and perfected the practice of producing in-house certain specific colours derived from natural earth pigments.

These pigments are mixed with non-toxic products and left to settle over time according to our carefully crafted recipes. The result is a “true, vibrant” finish that gives a distinctly natural and highly artisanal appearance.

The pigments are applied entirely by hand and made up of more than 7 layers, giving them a natural appearance akin to a painting. They cover just enough to provide the desired colour while allowing the underlying wood grain and knots to show through.

We also use this technique to create hand-painted decorations.
